Surprisingly, the phrase “April showers bring May flowers” is happening. For real.
The weather is gorgeous, the sakura is in full bloom… what can anyone ask for after a dreadful winter? Of course, the arrival of the new month also leads me back to my bullet journal – today, I’ll be showing you my May bullet journal set-up!! I love doing these types of posts – somehow
out of nowhere it gives me more inspiration on what I should do for the following month.
Let’s dive right in, shall we? *hup*
For May, I decided to use “Constellations” as a inspiration for my theme.
This month’s theme was inspired from AmandaRachLee – she is one of the most amazing bullet journal-er ever, and her videos always serves as a innovative for my future designs for my bujo, as well as blog/room aesthetics. I guess I kind of wanted to incorporate more of that “galaxy” and “constellation” design into my May set-up, so of course, Pinterest saves the day.
I was really hesitant with my doodling skills – I don’t doodle a lot, and I’m not familiar with the constellations, but it turned out to be decent! BUT THE GOLD SHADING AND BLACK DOTS THO IT TOOK FOREVER
but it was worth my precious potato time so it’s all okay
Again, yours truly is extremely uncreative and decides to sticks with the same calendar design. Last month I tried shading in the date on in each box, but I found that kind of too messy in a way, so I’m back to good ol’ original. I messed up a tad bit on the calendar title, but whatever, it’s usable XD
I really liked how it turned out for last month, so I decided to keep with it and use it for this month too. I added some star inspired designs around the tracker with my gold pencil crayon, and dotted it to kind of represent stars. I feel like this one was kind of a “just do it”, because I had absolutely NO IDEA how it was going to turn out when I started. Welllllll let’s just say I’m okay with it XD
Before, I used this page as my “post ideas” page, but this month I wanted to switch it up and give this one a try. I feel like usually I don’t fill up a lot of the space for the post ideas, and I just end up putting it in my “drafts”. Especially for this month, I think that it might be a good idea to keep track of my sleeping patterns.
Same old, same old. I drew some constellations as well on the bottom right corner. Looking back, I feel like overall, it’s a pretty cute and aesthetic theme to do!
the flip through
Ugh like HOW did I just find out about this “slideshow” option?? After more than an year of blogging
omg why someone tell me To be honest, now I’m in LOVE with it and I just can’t stop STARING AT IT
how was your April? do you enjoy watching constellations? have you ever seen one before? what’s your favourite spread up there? thoughts on my theme for this month? should i continue with my “sleep log”? suggestions for what theme i should do for next month? comment away 🙂
