The Pancake Book Tag // ships *heart eyes*, abundance of salt + smol talk about diversity (!!)

Confession: last time I ate pancakes was about a year ago.

I’m not sure exactly when?? But for some reason I do remember that it’s a mix from Trader Joes, and I definitely did not add maple syrup. Don’t know why I know that, but hey, it is what it is. Even though I don’t eat pancakes often, if you add it with books, I’m coming to devour them.

I was tagged by the lovely Olivia @ Purely Olivia to do the Pancake Book Tag, and am I excited to do this one! Great big thank you to Olivia, my dear friend, and of course, Becky @ Blogs of a Bookaholic for creating this tag 🙂 Be sure to check out both of their posts, which are linked above.

Discussion: DOES THE HYPE RUIN BOOKS FOR READERS? // ft. tsunami of emotions, screaming (like always) + my experiences

Hello, my name is Kimberly, and I am doing my first bookish discussion post. Ever.

Like I said earlier this year, I plan on posting a LOT more book related content this year, and a discussion post seems like a great way to help me with my goal. Yes, this is indeed my first discussion post, so I’m not exactly really sure how to do this. If any of you are more experienced book bloggers, any advice would be heavily appreciated ❤

Anyways, moving on: as the title suggests, today I will be talking about hype in books, and if it changes our perception and reading experience. This is something I’ve been thinking about for quite a bit, and I’ll give my final verdict after presenting the evidence*.

Let’s dive right in, shall we?

*I… am talking like a police/forensic scientist here WHY

REVIEW: Girl Made of Stars // stunning writing, beautiful message + feminism (I actually almost cried)

Have you ever finished a book and just sat there for 5 minutes, not knowing what just happened?

That’s exactly what happened to me with Girl Made of Stars. There were SO many emotions involved with this book, yet it was nothing short of amazing. During the month of September, I held a survey to see which book you had wanted to see reviewed the most. This one won by a whopping 66.7%, so of course, this one’s to y’all who voted 🙂

Tags Galore: Life In Books Tag + The Shuffle Music Tag // surprising results + choose my next review!!

Happy Thursday, friends! How are you all? With school back, it’s hard trying to find a balance between school + blogging + personal life, but I’ve done it before last year, so hopefully it’ll be alright 😂

While I was skimming over Reader, I saw that Kris @ Boston Book Reader did the Life In Books Tag and I knew that I had to do it! Also, I was tagged 3 ice ages ago* by my sis and bestie Ryry @ OMG Ryry to do The Shuffle Music Tag! I have no words for this gal, just head over to her blog and fall in love. It’s that easy, dudes. I haven’t posted since, what, last Thursday, so let’s get right into it, shall we?

*hence the cold weather I am experiencing right now as I am slowly freezing to death
smol note: just a quick mention again, I have stopped my summer blogging schedule, so right now I’m swimming in unknown waters. When I have it all figured out, I’ll be sure to mention it. (right now I’m trying to keep things and 1 post/week)

I’M JUST AIMLESSLY WANDERING // several writing snippets PT. 2

Hey y’all! Welcome back to another totally unplanned part 2 of an apparent series “Several Writing Snippets” 😂 By now, you’d probably know already about my love for writing poetry and short stories. Like I said in my “About” page, it’s probably quite obvious by now that I am in fact an introvert assigned at birth. I’m always looking for ways to express myself instead of verbally/talking, and writing compositions seem to do the trick. Today, I’ll be sharing some of the recent poetry that I wrote – hope you will enjoy it 🙂

Sadly, as a bookworm, we are all prone to bookish disappointments.

REVIEW: Three Dark Crowns // murderous sibling rivalry + a new ship (??) // announcement

Hello loves! *waves into the void known as the blogosphere* How are you all? June has been a pretty good reading month for me – with school starting to dwindle out and summer approaching, I have more time to actually be a bookworm for once 😂

I don’t know why, but book reviews are honestly one of my favourite types of posts to do. I’m always in dire need to add more books to my never ending TBR list, and connecting with fellow book lovers is always an amazing thing. Today, I’ll be talking about my thoughts on Three Dark Crowns by Kendare Blake. I have a feeling that this post is going to be really interesting…

I know that I missed my Saturday post – I’ll be talking about that near the end of the post.
