Whether it’s from school, work, or life, there will be days where everything, even the simplest of things, seem to be weighing you down. For some people, this may happen once awhile when all your schedules clash, but for others, this may be something they have to cope with almost daily.
Today, I’ll be sharing how I tend to unwind after a hectic day, and my thoughts on self care. I haven’t done mental health related posts in awhile now, and I though that this would be a suitable one to get back into, as this is something that we all need to work one, more or less.
From improving my writing, introducing me to reading (aka my love), to of course, the wonderful, amazing friendships I’ve made, there’s so much I owe to this blog or my first child. The past 2 years, a lot has changed for this blog and I as a blogger, and upon reflection, I wondered how much it was comparing to when I had first started.
Today, I’ll be talking about some things I wish I have known when I first started out blogging! I thought that it may be a fun and sentimental post to write about, and I hope that you’ll enjoy reading it as much as I had reminiscing :)) Before I start, I’d just like to note that the following are just what I wish I had known for my own blog, but that doesn’t necessarily have to be the same for yours! Everyone’s blog and style is different; let’s cherish that and celebrate our differences 🙂
There is one thing indefinitely that all students have in common: school stress.
For some, it may be minimal while for others it could be overwhelming to the point where it beings to impact their daily lives. One or the other, as students, we all face academic stress.
On my last post, I mentioned that with school and midterms coming up, there’s been a lot more stress in my life nowadays. In response, today I’ll be sharing how I deal with school stress, and giving you some tips and tricks that hopefully can be useful to you too! If this can help at least one person, then my mission with this post is complete. Let’s dive right in, shall we?
Most of you probably already know, that advocating for mental health is something that is extremely close to my heart. I feel like this is often overlooked, stigmatized, used as adjectives, as well as romanticized. One of my main goals – aka why I started this blog in the first place – is to help break the stigma, raise awareness for mental health, and hopefully help anyone struggling with anxiety or depression.
My goal with this post isn’t to judge anyone – instead, I hope that it can give some insight on what it really is, and maybe, even hopefully helping someone on their journey to wellness, whatever it may be for them.
Note: I am not a mental health professional – I’m just sharing my beliefs and thoughts
Before I begin this, I will be mentioning about some of the events that has been circling around the media. Reader discretion may be advised.
Hello friends! Happy Wednesday – how are you all? I don’t know about you, but right now I’m heading head first – unwillingly – into my finals. The school year is almost near the end, and I’m sure it’s the same for some of you too! Whether if you’ve done your finals, are already on summer break, or school is starting soon for you, I hope that these tips can help you in this finals season, or the next 🙂
Unfortunately, life doesn’t always go the way we want it to go.
Sometimes we may feel disappointment. Regret. Anger. Jealousy. Panic. As well as a whole slew of other emotions. There is no bad emotion; every is there for reason, but at times we may feel like it’s the worst thing that could happen to us.
Today, I’m sharing 7 positive ways to deal with sticky situations, where you can hopefully release yourself from the tight grasp. It’s been awhile for me – trying to figure out this, and that… I feel like there’s a lot I can improve on self care, and I’m glad that I have gathered up the bits and pieces of my messed up life found some ideas for it. Let’s dive right in, shall we?
Though not a year goes by without spring, it’s arrival never fails to serve as a constant reminder of joy.
Honestly, I’m quite excited for spring this year; I have so much things planned, and I can’t wait to complete them all while “smelling the roses”. I still can’t believe that 2018 is going so fast – Where. Did. Time. Go.
After months of bitter cold evil weather (except for the warm blankets – those are good), the new signs of life are a nice of a change. So on that happy note, today I’m sharing 7 ways to welcome spring this year!! These are just some other ways to celebrate the upcoming season of spring; let’s see what wonderfully bland ways I came up with (I am SO original – save me)
Also in light of this new blissful moment of the year, I’m doing my first freebie giveaway! Stay until the end to find out what I have in store for YOU! ugh why am I so cheesy save me again..

It’s one thing all humans have in common?? Admit it – even though you stay up at night and spend time with SnapChat or whatever, you still love sleep. Please, girl don’t give me the jazz hands YOU KNOW it’s precious. That fantastic time of the day when it’s just utter silence and peace… if only we could have that every night. Sadly lots of things in our daily lives can lead to a poor night’s sleep *cries*, and it can lead to another crappy next day.
Today, I’m sharing my night routine that helps me to have a decent sleep as well as relieving some stress. Despite all that, I’m actually (for once) quite excited to share my totally-normal-and-you-know-it tips and tricks to boost self-care and positive productivity!!
Beware: I have really weird tactics, so don’t bother, because… I’m concerned about your well-being??(no actually it’s not that wacky trust me)
It’s almost the end of term 2, and with all the tests (yuck), assignments, quizzes, pop quizzes *faints*… any student would stress out during this nerve wracking time period. Personally, I love learning and going to school, but midterm season just makes everything I do…. unmotivated WHY
As students, we have to (sadly) face midterms, and on top of that is our daily homework. Like, please stop torturing us?!
Since I feel like we all need a shoulder to lean on to right now to get through this crazy time of the year, why not convey some advice in the process?? Because what’s worse than feeling all alone like an iceberg in the middle of the Arctic. Seriously since that’s really bad, no joke.
Today, I’m sharing my top 10 studying tips to get on top of your homework during the midterm season, because… I need validation that it works?!?! Also, since I need MORE validation, here I present a short survey for you aka I’m a hard worker and I take advice and suggestions.
It’s creepy to even think Free Perspectives, my beautiful potato child, is now 1 year old. How have I been alive for so long?? Why am I still here?? #EverythingHasChanged
So many things happened during this year; from starting to blog (duh), to going through those few months (and surviving XD) that COMPLETELY changed my life, I honestly still can’t believe that I am still here, now, typing this out. I have changed so much, the world has changed so much, and I have yet truly discovered who I actually am: a potato.
Okay I lied ~ no, so many things have impacted me throught out this journey, and one of them is definitely blogging. I can’t wait to reflect and look back at my 1 year blogiversary, because Free Perspectives is getting old, and 1 years old is definitely old.
Let’s dive right in because I CAN’T WAIT *hup* *belly flops*
