Farewell March // spring break + changes in life // spring saves sanity

So it’s near the end of March and my potato brain is unable to comprehend with that fact.

Like always!! Anyways: March went by really quick. Too quick actually. Where did time go I don’t know too 😅 This past month has been really hectic – I’m starting to get used to online school, and how to juggle that along with in-class school.

SO much happened over that past 31 days (wow I sound like a documentary).. spring break happened, gymnastics happened, and I got to see family… March was busy, but definitely better than February 🙂 I’m just hoping that my March recap will look decent tho 😂

1 YEAR BLOGIVERSARY // stats + your favs + shoutouts

So wow. I’ve been here for 365 days. I think.

It’s creepy to even think Free Perspectives, my beautiful potato child, is now 1 year old. How have I been alive for so long?? Why am I still here?? #EverythingHasChanged

So many things happened during this year; from starting to blog (duh), to going through those few months (and surviving XD) that COMPLETELY changed my life, I honestly still can’t believe that I am still here, now, typing this out. I have changed so much, the world has changed so much, and I have yet truly discovered who I actually am: a potato.

Okay I lied ~ no, so many things have impacted me throught out this journey, and one of them is definitely blogging. I can’t wait to reflect and look back at my 1 year blogiversary, because Free Perspectives is getting old, and 1 years old is definitely old.

Let’s dive right in because I CAN’T WAIT *hup* *belly flops*

Merry Christmas

Hey! This is a relatively (very) short post, but I just want to say Merry Christmas to you all! 🙂 I can’t believe it actually is the 25th today, and that 2018 is only a few days away?!

Hopefully you can spend some time with your family and friends, drink hot chocolate and TEA, and take a moment to feel genuinely thankful for everything around you 🙂 There are so many things I feel grateful for, including YOU! Thank you for making this all possible, and for giving me one of the best presents ever – the love on the blogosphere ❤

Anyways, I hope that you’ll all have a very happy Christmas, and cheers to you all for surviving another year 😂

Mental Health Mondays Ep. 12 | 20 Things I’m Grateful For

Feeling grateful is an action.

It’s not just something you just say out loud, but a thing that you should feel in your heart and soul too. So many people and things have helped me this year to get my life back, and without them, I wouldn’t be the person I am now. I feel like listing all the things I am thankful for in my life is a great way to wrap up my Mental Health Mondays series for 2017, so let’s just say that this is a “MHM Year Wrap-up Special”.

As much as I like to quote:

Sometimes you will never know the value of a moment until it becomes a memory

~ Dr. Suess

Tbh, I took things for granted before. I never really acknowledged life and everything. After last year, though, I started to really appreciate everyday of my life and the people who supported, and is still supporting me. Did you know that feeling grateful will improve your views on life? Even when we are so definitely sure that life can’t be any worse, there must be something that we have that is invaluable and priceless: hope and love. Christmas season is here; let us cherish life and the things that we are grateful for 🙂

Realize the Greatness in You

I am just a little speck of the universe – today I’m going to share quotes that have increased my self-esteem, confidence, and love for myself. I hope that this post can also help someone else. Let me know in the comments section if it did!

Quiet People have the Loudest Minds.png

Since I am shy, when I was younger I thought that outspoken ones were the best. We are all unique, so maybe I have something yet to discover.

leo tolstoy quote (1).png

We see our loved ones, romantic relationship or not, beautiful just the way they are. It’s the inside that matters most. A true friend, family member, or lover will see your true beauty even if you just woke up and your hair is a mess!

Just look at the image. Isn’t it calming? There are so much on the horizon for us to discover and pursue.

stars cant shine without darkness.png

Life has its struggles, but there is always light at the end of the tunnel, even if it takes you awhile to get there.

unknown quotes.png

We usually look at what we don’t have, but we don’t acknowledge and appreciate the things we do. When we open the tap, we expect water, warm and cold. There are many people who have to walk 10km to get to the nearest clean water source. Don’t forget they also have to carry the day’s worth of water back. Just writing this makes me look at the cup of water on my desk right now, and know that I should be so thankful I live in a situation where I don’t have to worry about that.

Simple: live life to its fullest.

We can’t let fear take us down. Life is too short for me to stop now. Yet, it is long enough for me to accomplish my goals and dreams.

============================================================================

With this article, I hope to help at least one person get through their hard times. If you are reading this and you are struggling with whatever you are right now – you can do this. You are stronger that what you think you are. Maybe you might think what I am saying right now is %$#@!*(&)6_+ (yes thank you I just typed it out while closing my eyes), one day you will look back at today, and you will see how much you have grown in so many ways.

Take a deep breath. You can do this.

Until next time,

Nothing to be ashamed of

I can’t do it

why can she

grades

“what did you get?”

“just say it no big deal”

she gets A

is my B good enough?

looks

she always looks better

why can’t I look that way too?

grow my hair out

’till it reaches half my back

do I like it?

those girls have it

many

popularity

they look so happy

carefree

is that whay I want for myself

NO

just because I get straight A(s)

does that make me happy?

just because my hair is long

and I’m skinny

does that mean that I love myself?

just because I’m popular

does that mean that I am someone

who people look up to

as their role model,

because of who they are inside

and not outside?

everyone is different

you may want to be that girl

but maybe that girl wants to be you

difference is what shapes us

makes us unique

what would we be if we’re

all the same?
