Whether it’s from school, work, or life, there will be days where everything, even the simplest of things, seem to be weighing you down. For some people, this may happen once awhile when all your schedules clash, but for others, this may be something they have to cope with almost daily.
Today, I’ll be sharing how I tend to unwind after a hectic day, and my thoughts on self care. I haven’t done mental health related posts in awhile now, and I though that this would be a suitable one to get back into, as this is something that we all need to work one, more or less.
Hello lovelies, happy Thursday 🙂 How are you all doing? Things are pretty complicated for me right now with school and such. Especially textiles. We just finished our designer garment bags, and now we’re moving on to our pants and designing our shirts. There’s so much sketching I need to do, and I have to find a suitable colour palette for my capsule wardrobe. Even though it’s hectic, I still love textiles, but ughhhh
So!! I was nominated for the Sunshine Blogger Award by Ryry @ OMG Ryry, Olivia @ Purely Olivia and Dezzy @ The Thoughtful Voice! There are so many questions – even some in which I begin to have an existential crisis. I’m so excited to do this and answer the questions, and hopefully it’ll give y’all a better look at the true nonexistent life of Kimberly XD
There is one thing indefinitely that all students have in common: school stress.
For some, it may be minimal while for others it could be overwhelming to the point where it beings to impact their daily lives. One or the other, as students, we all face academic stress.
On my last post, I mentioned that with school and midterms coming up, there’s been a lot more stress in my life nowadays. In response, today I’ll be sharing how I deal with school stress, and giving you some tips and tricks that hopefully can be useful to you too! If this can help at least one person, then my mission with this post is complete. Let’s dive right in, shall we?
Hello loves! *waves into the void known as the blogosphere* How are you all? June has been a pretty good reading month for me – with school starting to dwindle out and summer approaching, I have more time to actually be a bookworm for once 😂
I don’t know why, but book reviews are honestly one of my favourite types of posts to do. I’m always in dire need to add more books to my never ending TBR list, and connecting with fellow book lovers is always an amazing thing. Today, I’ll be talking about my thoughts on Three Dark Crowns by Kendare Blake. I have a feeling that this post is going to be really interesting…
I know that I missed my Saturday post – I’ll be talking about that near the end of the post.
Most of you probably already know, that advocating for mental health is something that is extremely close to my heart. I feel like this is often overlooked, stigmatized, used as adjectives, as well as romanticized. One of my main goals – aka why I started this blog in the first place – is to help break the stigma, raise awareness for mental health, and hopefully help anyone struggling with anxiety or depression.
My goal with this post isn’t to judge anyone – instead, I hope that it can give some insight on what it really is, and maybe, even hopefully helping someone on their journey to wellness, whatever it may be for them.
Note: I am not a mental health professional – I’m just sharing my beliefs and thoughts
Before I begin this, I will be mentioning about some of the events that has been circling around the media. Reader discretion may be advised.
As you probably already know, I adore literature, or basically anything that has to do with words. Although, you may not know, but I also enjoy writing! I usually write short poems, but occasionally I have some short stories in mind, but I never really took the time to jot them down. So, I’m doing something I’ve never really done before here: may I present some of my writing snippets! I hope that you’ll enjoy them as much as I did writing them 🙂
Last long weekend I went up the mountains, and I saw something that I’ve never seen before in my 1000 short years of life: my city. I’ve lived there for so long that I didn’t really have time to stop and appreciate the thing we’re best known for – a city beside the ocean and mountains. Despite all the negativity we sadly have in our world today, there’s still some beauty that persists for us to see.
Today, I’m sharing some of the photos I took on the short little visit up the mountains! I know there’s some snow, but that’s spring for us 40 minutes away from where we live 😉 It really gave me wider perspective on the beauty of nature, and I hope that it’ll do the same for you 🙂
Let’s dive right in, shall we? *hup*
side note: I made an error about my new blogging schedule on my last post; it’s actually Wednesday and Saturday 🙂
We make mistakes. Unexpected events arise. Things happen. I’m sure that there are at least one thing that happened in your life that you’d like to forget. That goes for me, too! We’re all humans, breathing, living, in the same world, aren’t we?
Including why life works the way it works, why I’m an introvert, and also the purpose of my existence. So what better way to add to that pile of me vs. my thoughts by adding a book with a plot that will send me into further existential crisis?
I had a lot of mixed feeling regarding this book, and now I’m really not sure what to feel anymore 😅 Therefore, before we proceed, heed the following warning: you are about to advance into Kimberly’s Extreme Lands of Ranting.
Surprise, surprise, humans are very interesting creatures.
Out of the 8 (?) billion people in our world, not one of them is the same. We all have our own unique attributes, personalities, bodies, and everything else in between. Sadly though, sometimes it’s the most “unknown” facts about us that scares/embarrasses us the most.
Usually I’m a very secretive person, and because I feel nice for once, I’m going to do something that I haven’t done here in awhile. Today, I’m going to be sharing 10 facts you may not know about me!! This has been sitting in my drafts for awhile, so why not put some use to it? Let’s dive right in, shall we? *hup*
Smol note: #sorrynotsorry for my unannounced 1 week (ish) haitus ~ just finished and somehow survived my fashion show (I’ll talk about that in another post soon *wink wink*)
