Whether it’s from school, work, or life, there will be days where everything, even the simplest of things, seem to be weighing you down. For some people, this may happen once awhile when all your schedules clash, but for others, this may be something they have to cope with almost daily.
Today, I’ll be sharing how I tend to unwind after a hectic day, and my thoughts on self care. I haven’t done mental health related posts in awhile now, and I though that this would be a suitable one to get back into, as this is something that we all need to work one, more or less.
From improving my writing, introducing me to reading (aka my love), to of course, the wonderful, amazing friendships I’ve made, there’s so much I owe to this blog or my first child. The past 2 years, a lot has changed for this blog and I as a blogger, and upon reflection, I wondered how much it was comparing to when I had first started.
Today, I’ll be talking about some things I wish I have known when I first started out blogging! I thought that it may be a fun and sentimental post to write about, and I hope that you’ll enjoy reading it as much as I had reminiscing :)) Before I start, I’d just like to note that the following are just what I wish I had known for my own blog, but that doesn’t necessarily have to be the same for yours! Everyone’s blog and style is different; let’s cherish that and celebrate our differences 🙂
They say new year is a time to set new goals and resolutions.
Me? I believe that setting goals is important, but it is as crucial as reflecting on our own past. Sometimes making resolutions and reflections can be stressful for you, and that’s okay – trust me, I understand completely. I’m always on the look for ways to be a productive potato all awhile maintaining my own personal wellness and not working itself overload.
Today, I’m going to share some reasons why I feel self – reflection is important, and how those may help make the process less stressful. I hope that you’ll find one or two points that may be of use to you! I know that I’m only sharing 3 points, but I feel like they are important ones that have inspired me, and hopefully they’ll do the same to you.
I still cannot fathom, or even wrap my potato shaped head around the fact that IT’S SEPTEMBER.
I mean seriously – it is actually September, kids, like how did this even happen. Summer is from the days of the past okay I just made this really sad and now I have to face the stressing reality of being a student.
But!! Enough of that talk – there were still some pretty nice anecdotes of my summer break, and I can’t wait to share them with you! So much happened last month – I still have not clue as to how I’m going to put this all into one post without making this more than 5K words long 😂
Hello loves, and happy summer, everyone! I am officially on summer break *screams*, so I am really excited to be able to post more consistently and spend more time here in the blogosphere 🙂
I was nominated for the Liebster Award and Awesome Blogger Award by Anna @ Anna Pastelle awhile ago. She’s a great blogger, and her blog aesthetic never fails to impress 🙂 Be sure to head over and show some love!
Before I start, I’m so sorry about my unexpected disappearance from the blogosphere for the past week or so. I have been really busy trying to sort and figure out things. I really don’t like being irresponsible, so I apologize 😅 Now that summer is here, I hope that I’ll be able to go back to my blogging schedule and be more present in the blogosphere 🙂
Most of you probably already know, that advocating for mental health is something that is extremely close to my heart. I feel like this is often overlooked, stigmatized, used as adjectives, as well as romanticized. One of my main goals – aka why I started this blog in the first place – is to help break the stigma, raise awareness for mental health, and hopefully help anyone struggling with anxiety or depression.
My goal with this post isn’t to judge anyone – instead, I hope that it can give some insight on what it really is, and maybe, even hopefully helping someone on their journey to wellness, whatever it may be for them.
Note: I am not a mental health professional – I’m just sharing my beliefs and thoughts
Before I begin this, I will be mentioning about some of the events that has been circling around the media. Reader discretion may be advised.
Last long weekend I went up the mountains, and I saw something that I’ve never seen before in my 1000 short years of life: my city. I’ve lived there for so long that I didn’t really have time to stop and appreciate the thing we’re best known for – a city beside the ocean and mountains. Despite all the negativity we sadly have in our world today, there’s still some beauty that persists for us to see.
Today, I’m sharing some of the photos I took on the short little visit up the mountains! I know there’s some snow, but that’s spring for us 40 minutes away from where we live 😉 It really gave me wider perspective on the beauty of nature, and I hope that it’ll do the same for you 🙂
Let’s dive right in, shall we? *hup*
side note: I made an error about my new blogging schedule on my last post; it’s actually Wednesday and Saturday 🙂
We make mistakes. Unexpected events arise. Things happen. I’m sure that there are at least one thing that happened in your life that you’d like to forget. That goes for me, too! We’re all humans, breathing, living, in the same world, aren’t we?
Surprise, surprise, humans are very interesting creatures.
Out of the 8 (?) billion people in our world, not one of them is the same. We all have our own unique attributes, personalities, bodies, and everything else in between. Sadly though, sometimes it’s the most “unknown” facts about us that scares/embarrasses us the most.
Usually I’m a very secretive person, and because I feel nice for once, I’m going to do something that I haven’t done here in awhile. Today, I’m going to be sharing 10 facts you may not know about me!! This has been sitting in my drafts for awhile, so why not put some use to it? Let’s dive right in, shall we? *hup*
Smol note: #sorrynotsorry for my unannounced 1 week (ish) haitus ~ just finished and somehow survived my fashion show (I’ll talk about that in another post soon *wink wink*)
Surprisingly, the phrase “April showers bring May flowers” is happening. For real.
The weather is gorgeous, the sakura is in full bloom… what can anyone ask for after a dreadful winter? Of course, the arrival of the new month also leads me back to my bullet journal – today, I’ll be showing you my May bullet journal set-up!! I love doing these types of posts – somehow out of nowhere it gives me more inspiration on what I should do for the following month.
